Established 1826
Established in the UK in 1826, Pittards is still headquartered in its original Yeovil, Somerset home town. This is the R&D hub of the business, complete with on-site test facilities and Pittards world-leading, innovative technologies are developed here.
The tannery has a versatile manufacturing capability for sectors that include gloving, footwear, automotive and interiors. We also make our own fine leathergoods here in the UK and have additional capacity for third party work.
Leading exporter Ethiopia
Pittards has operated its tannery in Edjersa since 2005 and it manufactures leather for gloves footwear and footwear linings.
The leather is used by our own glove and footwear production in Ethiopia as well as being shipped to brands worldwide, making Pittards not only an important local supplier in Ethiopia but a leading exporter.
Pittards Ethiopia also makes and exports a range of gloves from rugged work styles to fashion dress gloves for third party brands.
Brand partnerships across the world
Pittards intellectual hub in Yeovil makes us well-placed to forge relationships with both brands and their manufacturers as we form partnerships across design teams and makers to fulfil their leather requirements.
Vertical integration
A unique ability to manufacture finished products in both the UK and Ethiopia means that we can also deliver vertical manufacturing packages from leather specification through product design and development to final stitch.
