Pittards today said a big thank you to the NHS with a presentation of a cheque for £595 to its local hospital in Yeovil.
As the global pandemic hit, some of the Pittards team that usually crafts handbags and high quality leather goods at its headquarters in Yeovil switched its skills to making leather heart keepsakes. Every heart sold helped raise money for the local charity and the sentiment behind sending a heart to loved ones that people were not able to see due to lockdown, quickly took off.
Reg Hankey (left) presents the cheque to Sarah Cherry (right) and with the hearts still available to buy online and the Pittards Yeovil store the company is hopeful that it can raise further funds.
